The idea behind this machine concept is to provide users with a highly flexible printing machine which can also be used to economically print small batch sizes.

Thanks to the unique combination of a
"hermetic" ink/doctoring cup with the new "microflex" cliché belt, the "CORK-PRINTER UNIVERSAL" is able to print the full circumference of corks in direct gravure. The print motifs are engraved directly in the 28 m long "microflex" cliché belt using a new ALFALAS® laser component.

The "microflex" cliché belt is then dyed and printed directly onto the cork. This enables up to 165 different print motifs to be created without additional set-up times.

Tried and tested ALFALAS® software together with a touch screen are used to prepare the data for the print motifs and control the machine in digital form.

The "CORK-PRINTER UNIVERSAL" has made possible external cliché production and reduced the associated set-up times and costs to a minimum.
