At the end of the 1960s, TAMPOPRINT company founder Wilfried Philipp made industrial pad printing possible - through his invention of silicone pads. But not all silicone is alike! The secret lies in the many years of expertise and the high quality standards of our customers. These drive us to constantly develop and perfect the silicone material.

For rotary pad printing, we offer our rotary printing pad rollers in different Shore hardnesses, which are perfectly matched to the TAMPOPRINT RTI rotary pad printing units.
Before use, store the printing pads open for 14-21 days. To prolong the life of the pad, after cleaning with a lint-free cleaning cloth, we recommend after-treatment with our longlife oil (Art. No. 141112). Exception: Silicone material “ST” = super dry, must not be rubbed with longlife oil.
Our hint: Remove dried ink residue during the printing process with adhesive foil/tape.
In practice, each application requires a printing pad adapted to the process. The silicone material properties, the printing pad shape, the pressure hardness and the printing pad volume play an important role. Thanks to years of experience, we know our way around. Today, we can offer standard pads for many tasks from our immense range. And if not, we will develop your special printing pad for you.
The material properties of silicone are excellent for the production of printing pads. The special release effect, namely the absorption of the pad printing ink from the pad printing cliché and its subsequent release onto the printed part, is due to the exceptionally contrary material properties of silicone. The separating effect of the surface against inorganic and organic materials should be emphasized. Added to this are its permanent elasticity, high molding accuracy and chemical resistance to weak acids and alkalis.
